What you do
Four hours through the middle of Rome on a pedal-assisted bike, which covers what a walking tour cannot and gets into the streets a bus never sees.
You ride the ancient roads and the piazzas with a local guide setting the pace and the stories: the monuments everyone comes for, and the back lanes and corners in between. The motor takes care of the hills, so the day ends with you still able to walk.
Helmet, poncho and a child seat for smaller passengers are all part of the rental. Accident insurance is optional and costs €5 a head, paid on the day.
The ride starts at Lungotevere delle Armi 44, on the river.
